Our first lesson! You will need your book and notebook. We begin Caput unum and read Lectio 1. We notice patterns and learn some vocabulary. We also learn the first proverbium!
*Correction- next week we will not pick up with Colloquium 2. We will spend a little more time with Lectio 1.

Be ready to recite your proverbium and review vocabularies! You will need your book, notebook, pen/pencil, and white board with marker and eraser. We discuss and practice adjective/noun agreement, and we notice patterns with our nouns by setting up columns for word families.

Be ready to recite your proverbium and review adjectives! Have your book, notebook, writing utensil, white board, etc. We read the Colloquium together and learn a couple of new nouns, a new proverbium, as well as a new pattern at the beginning of a certain type of sentence.

Be ready to recite and review vocabularies. Have your text, notebook, white board, etc. We go over how to approach Viva Voce, Lesson 3. Project for the next week or so- create your own scutum!

We read "Brutus et Geta" again and answer our first Interrogatio in Lesson 11.

More practice with the genitive singular. We read "Brutus et Geta" and learn new vocabularies. You will want a white board for practice or perhaps write straight into your notebook.

We pick up with Caput III and the genitive case!

We begin with the accusative case and the new endings, plus several more verbs! Lectio 16.

We pause in the text to go over some English grammar: Transitive verbs with direct objects. The DO is in the accusative case in Latin.

Colloquium 15

Review of declensions and endings. Review of accusative as the direct object. Lectio 17.

Coll. 18

We practice parsing and translating sentences, do the same in VV 19, and then read and learn in Lectio 20 Membra Corporis, parts of the body.

We begin Caput VI and the accusative plural! Lectio 21.

Continuing with the accusative plural. Lectio 22 and VV 23. Lots of parsing!
