Viva Voce Asynchronous Latin Course

Asynchronous: With this option, the video series walks students through year 1 of First Latin Course by Scott & Jones. Weekly assignments are laid out, but are checked by the parent using the provided answer key (on the CMEC website). Viva Voce provides two 30-minute office hour sessions a month for asking questions and getting clarification. Exams are provided and are turned in and graded by Magistra Bucko each term. Students are expected to stay on pace to finish year 1 at a particular spot in the book, and to be ready for each term’s exam.

    Our first lesson! You will need your book and notebook. We begin Caput unum and read Lectio 1. We notice patterns and learn some vocabulary. We also learn the first proverbium!
    *Correction- next week we will not pick up with Colloquium 2. We will spend a little more time with Lectio 1.
